Ingredients
500ml Buttermilk
1 Egg
30g Treacle
225g Wholemeal flour
225g Plain flour
½ Tsp Sodium bicarbonate
60g Bran (Seaba – Farelo de Aveia integral)
80g Oatmeal
Pinch of salt
Method
Mix all the dry ingredients together.
Mix all the wet ingredients together.
Mix the wet & the dry.
Pour the mix into a greased non stick one pound loaf tin & bake in a pre-heated oven at 180C 350F Gas Mark 4 for 35 minutes.
To check if it is cooked remove the bread from the tins & pat the bottom. When fully cooked it should sound hollow.
